Isola Rossa

Gli Ulivi

Gli Ulivi faces the Mediterranean Sea in Monte Argentario, protected by national and regional laws as natural patrimony for the beauty of the coast and the integrity of the surrounding wilderness. The design of the villa reflects this unique scenario, achieving and equilibrium between the respect of the nature and the expectation of comfort and exclusivity.

The design of the villa was conceived to assure each of the guests of the house, total privacy and autonomy, with the living room, dining area, internal patio and terrace as the meeting point for moments of sociality, just as the square in the traditional villages. Gli Ulivi revives this antique atmosphere, adding the amenities and comforts of modern day life and giving you the choice or the opportunity to have a refreshing swim whenever you like in the clear sea only a short walk from your bedroom, to relax with a good book in the shade of the olive trees, to enjoy a Mediterranean lunch in the garden or on the terrace.

In the evening, you will completely be taken by the magic of the sun setting in front of you, always different just as the colours of the sea.

The patio or the living room and the dining table inside will offer you in the evening moments of entertainment or relax. In the living room, large comfortable sofas and an array of colourful cushions, mixed with antique furniture and paintings create a different special atmosphere, close, but abstract from the always surrounding sea.

The bedrooms all have different characteristics in style, all comfortable and with their own dedicated bathroom, three of them have independent access from the outside, the others also enjoy full independent autonomy.

The private access to the sea is only 70 metres from the villa, following a gentle path trough the sloping garden, which brings you to the beach, sandy or rocky following the whims of the sea. The clear water entices swims from the beach to the next rock, bay or point as your fitness allows. A swim to Isola Rossa is always tempting, only half a mile away. There is also a canoe for two available, easy to handle for longer crossings.

Outside the kitchen, close to the cellar and at reach from the terrace and dining there is a stone oven, especially good for roasting and home made pizza, and a barbecue for any fish you catch, but most likely for the fresh fish bought from the renowned fisheries in town.

Porto Santo Stefano (distant 7 km), Porto Ercole (distant 6km the shortest way), Orbetello (distant 14 km), Isola del Giglio (12 miles ferry boat trip from Santo Stefano). Nevertheless, the little old towns of the Tuscan Maremma, with its historical traditions and sophisticated present, may be an interesting alternative for the day from the serenity and peaceful atmosphere of Gli Ulivi.
